Preferred home delivery timeline for groceries in the U.S 2021, by generation
A survey was released in August 2021 to understand more about U.S shoppers' buying habits regarding groceries. 36 percent of respondents preferred to receive their groceries on the same day of purchase, the two percent of the consumers did not mind receiving them in over four business days from the purchase date. All age groups seemed to prefer same day groceries delivery altogether, with millennials showing a higher preference for same-say delivery.
