Water companies in the United Kingdom will be investing 2.7 billion British pounds into environmental improvements as part of the country's green economic recovery. Seven Trent Water, South West Water, Thames Water, United Utilities, and South Staffs Water will invest approximately 793 million British pounds in addition to their existing five-year PR19 packages. Investments will go into schemes such as improving river quality, replacing and repairing supply pipes, and delivering low-carbon water treatment solutions. These five companies, and seven others, are also bringing forward 1.9 billion British pounds of investments for the 2020 to 2025 period.
