In 2020, the global tourism sector was severely constrained by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Consequently, many wineries worldwide were also affected, as some offer wine tours. Compared to the previous year, over 32 percent of wineries surveyed lost 50 to 80 percent of their revenue from wine tourism in 2020. In contrast, around six percent of wineries saw increased revenue from enotourism services that year.
