Ukraine's leading steel company was Metinvest Holding, which produced approximately 3.7 million metric tons of steel in 2022, down 68 percent from the previous year. In 2020, the second-largest production volume was recorded for ISD (Industrial Union of Donbas) at over 4.5 million metric tons. ISD's steel production saw a decrease by approximately 16 percent from 2019.
