According to a 2021 survey conducted by the Fight Inequality Alliance in India, 94 percent of respondents agreed that there should be some form of regulation of private schools and hospitals in the country. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been reports of private hospitals and schools increasing fees.
