Sovereign investors and central banks with an ESG policy worldwide 2017-2021
To have implemented an environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) policy was more common among sovereign funds than among central banks worldwide during the period from 2017 to 2021. The central banks were catching up, however, and 38 percent of central banks had an implemented ESG policy in 2021, which is still significantly lower than the 64 percent among sovereign funds.
