Chemical production value in Germany 2022, by segment

In 2022, the chemical industry in Germany registered a production value of more than 147 billion euros. The production of fine and specialty chemicals amounted to approximately 44.7 billion euros that year. Polymers and petrochemicals were the second and third segments with the highest production value, amounting to 36.3 and 29.9 billion euros, respectively.
