India Residential Energy Survey 2020 collected data on the use of different types of fuels for cooking in India. Among 14,850 households surveyed, around 15 percent had no LPG connection. The report also reflected that more than 80 percent of the households without LPG connection was due to the cost of connection or/and monthly consumption. Cost for new connection was around 3,200 Indian rupees, and a14-kg cylinder of LPG refill was around 600 rupees.
