In the first six months of 2021, ERW or the Erawan Group had a loss of around 1.2 billion Thai baht. ERW is one of the most leading hotel operators in Thailand, managing well-known hotels such as Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok and JW Marriott Bangkok. The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic heavily impacted Thailand's hotel industry, resulting in lower revenues and occupancy rate of hotel rooms across the country.
