Key players in buy now, pay later (BNPL) in Australia, based on awareness 2018-2021
Nearly three out of four Australians were aware of buy now, pay later payment options in early 2021, with one service especially being well known. According to a survey, around 70 percent of consumers in Australia are aware of Afterpay - a figure that was roughly twice as high as it was in September 2018. Competitor Zip was known to nearly half of Australian consumers. Reaching almost two million users, the country is regarded as one of the top countries in the world for BNPL.
