Size of REIT funds in China 2011-2019, by trust scheme
As of 2019, the value of REIT funds in China amounted to almost one trillion yuan, of which stand-alone trust scheme funds accounted for 80 percent of all REIT funds. Over the observed period, despite fluctuations of the tightening and losing policies in the real estate industry, the overall size of REIT funds followed an upward trend due in large to the increasing popularity of funds with stand-alone trust schemes.
