Share of children enrolled in preschool education in Russia 2022, by region
On average across Russia, the preschool education enrollment rate reached 74 percent in 2022. In other words, the number of children enrolled in daycare institutions and kindergartens occupied nearly three quarters of all children aged one to six years. Among the country's regions, the highest preschool education enrollment was recorded in the Northwestern Federal District at over 90 percent. The lowest figure was observed in the North Caucasian Federal District, where around a half of children one to six years old were enrolled in preschool education.
