An open-end fund is a diversified portfolio of collective money from investors, which can issue an unlimited amount of shares. At the end of the third quarter of 2022, total fund assets worldwide saw another dip, resting at under 60.5 trillion U.S. dollars. As of the first quarter of 2024 total fund assets reached a high of 74.56 trillion U.S. dollars).
