According to a June 2021 survey carried out among industry professionals all around the globe, the most significant development in the biometrics industry of past year was digital identity, as stated by 33 percent of survey respondents. Border control and security was mentioned by 12 percent of respondents, while eight percent referred to national identity as a recent significant development.
