In 2021, 48 percent of initial public offerings (IPOs) globally were completed in the Asia-Pacific region. Meanwhile, only 22 percent of companies debuted on stock exchanges in the Americas, though the proceeds of these IPOs accounted for over 40 percent of IPO proceeds globally.
