As of July 2021, a survey carried out in Great Britain found that 39 percent of respondents aged between 25 to 49 years as well as those aged 65 years and older thought that sale of cigarettes should be banned either immediately or in the very near future (e.g. within the next two years). On the other hand, 35 percent of the respondents aged between 50 to 64 years, believed that cigarettes should not be banned.
