Share of candidates by education and gender in Norway 2021

In Norway, a larger share of the female electoral candidates have a higher education than male candidates for the parliamentary election in 2021. 40 percent of the women and 29 percent of the men have a tertial education of four years or less, respectively. Meanwhile, 40 percent of the male candidates and 29 percent of the female have an upper secondary education, respectively. The Green Party has the highest educated candidates, both among women and men. The parliamentary elections in Norway are due to be held on September 12 and 13.
