The category with the highest online shopping transaction value in South Korea was food services, amounting to more than 26 trillion South Korean won. The mobile shopping value of food services made up the majority of this figure. Food services include services like grocery delivery, food delivery, and more. Food delivery services in South Korea are rather popular, and the average amount spent on delivery food stood at around 76,000 won in 2022.

When using mobile shopping, the major payment method used by South Korean consumers was credit cards. These were used by most mobile shopping users, followed by mobile easy payment services that were linked to either credit or debit cards. While there are mobile easy payment services that are accepted by multiple websites and retailers, some leading retailers also offer their own easy payment services.
