Data usage in consumer products and retail industry 2020
Capgemini showed that retail companies were lagging behind consumer products enterprises in the use of data. The gap was significant in the automation of processes and in data collecting: only 34 percent of retailers automated data collection, against 45 percent of consumer goods companies. However, one in four organizations in both categories reported to have implemented practices involving data engineering, machine learning, and DevOps.
