Mobile app publishers in the Apple App Store 2020, by revenue

Between January and October 2020, app publishers earning up to 100 thousand U.S. dollars represented 92 percent of all app publishers present in the store. By comparison, mobile app publishers generating 1.5 million U.S. dollars or more in revenues through Apple's official app store only represented 1.7 percent of all companies. In 2021, the Apple App Store lowered its commission fees for small publishers generating less than 1 million U.S. dollars in yearly revenues. The company announced in August 2021 it will allow certain app publishers to use third party payment systems.
