Mobile gaming app publishers in the Apple App Store 2020, by revenue

Between January and October 2020, gaming app publishers earning up to 100 thousand U.S. dollars represented 89.8 percent of all gaming apps publishers present in the Apple App Store. By comparison, app publishers generating 1.5 million U.S. dollars or more from mobile games represented 2.7 percent of all video gaming companies in the Apple App Store, but accounted for the largest share of revenues generated from mobile players' spending. In November 2020, Apple announced it was revising its App Store commission policies for publishers earning up to one million U.S. dollars per year. As of January 2021, small app publishers are eligible to participate in the App Store Small Business Program and have their commission reduced from 30 percent to 15 percent.
