However, over the years reviewed, the percentage of children enrolled in educational institutions dropped noticeably in 2016 before slowly recovering and falling again in 2020 as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Overall, the share of children in educational institutions was lower in 2020 than in 2014.
