In 2020, about 29 percent of male owned firms in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region reported facing no obstacle in the access of financing for their firms, compared to about 27 percent for female owned firms. Countries in conflict and in transition showed smaller employment growth than the rest in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
