The labor productivity in Iceland increased from 2020 to 2021 after the country was hit hard by the corona (COVID-19) pandemic in 2020. Having negative growths in 2020, labor productivity increased to 3.1 percent in 2021 indicating an economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. The rate fell in 2022, but remained positive with an increase of 0.2 percent.
