Share of children of the total population in South Africa 2018, by age group
As of 2018, 34.5 percent of the South African population were children aged 17 years and younger. Of those, the majority were in the youngest age group of six years and younger. Moreover, children between seven and 13 years represented 13.4 percent of the total population.
