Algeria produced over 66 million metric tons of oil equivalent of secondary energy in 2019. Compared to the previous year, the power generation increased from nearly 65 million metric tons of oil equivalent. Petroleum products were the main secondary energy source, followed by thermal energy and liquefied natural gas (LNG).
