A survey in May and June 2021 revealed that table tennis and aquatics were the most popular sports disciplines to watch during the Tokyo 2021 Summer Olympic Games in China, with about 38 percent and 28 percent of respondents saying so. Among the 28 countries covered in the survey, Chinese respondents had expressed the third highest interest in the Olympic Games after those from India and South Africa.
