From 2019 to 2021, employment rates dropped among all age groups in Iceland, but increased again in 2022. The fall was highest among people between 15 and 24 years old, with a drop of six percentage points. The age group of 55-64 saw the smallest decline, with only one percentage point. Employment rates in Iceland were highest among people between 25 and 54 years of age, with 86.7 percent in 2022.
