Gen Z's current and preferred home location in the U.S. 2021
In 2021, over half of Gen Z adults surveyed lived in suburban areas in the United States. The survey also found that the the suburbs were the most preferred location for Gen Zers, with 49 percent of respondents sharing that this is where they would want to buy a home in the future. Urban areas came second in popularity with approximately one third of respondents choosing them as a preferred location.
