After reaching nearly 1.1 million fixed telephone lines in 2009, the number of such subscriptions in El Salvador has been decreasing in recent years. In 2022, fixed telephony lines amounted to around 862.72 thousand in the Central American country. That same year, the penetration rate of fixed telephony in El Salvador was reported at 13.7 subscriptions per 100 inhabitants.
