Distribution of non-life insurance investment assets in Ghana 2018
As of 2018, before the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the share of investment assets in the Ghanaian non-life insurance market was highest in term deposits held at a licensed bank. This covered 30.74 percent of the total non-life insurance assets in Ghana. Moreover, 20.8 percent of the investment assets were land and buildings held as an investment in the country, while nearly 16 percent were Government of Ghana securities.
