Number of Chinese firms in selected African countries 2016-2017
In a field survey conducted between November 2016 and March 2017 across eight countries in Africa, a total of 920 Chinese firms were found in Nigeria. This was the highest count among African countries, followed by Zambia and Tanzania, which registered 861 and 825 Chinese companies, respectively. According to the source, more than 10,000 Chinese businesses might have been in operation in the Africa region as of the same period.
