Not using the internet for climate protection Germany 2020, by age group
In 2020, 86 percent of Germans aged 16 o 29 years could not do without using the internet to protect the climate. Figures are based on a survey conducted in Germany in April 2020. The same was true for respondents aged 30 to 49 years. Meanwhile, 31 percent of respondents aged 65 years and older could imagine living without internet to contribute to climate protection. Digital technologies contribute to greenhouse gas emissions, based on estimates from scientific studies.
