Sugar cane area harvested in Zimbabwe 2014-2022
As of 2019/2020, the area harvested of sugarcane in Zimbabwe amounted to 46 thousand hectares. Compared to the preceding year, the area of sugarcane plantations harvested increased by one thousand hectares. Since 2014/2015, fluctuation in harvested area could be noticed before a drop in 2017/2018. However, the area harvested later showed an increasing trend. The positive trend is estimated to continue in the future with a forecast of reaching 48 thousand hectares by 2021/2022.
