Interest in selected electoral campaigns in France 2015-2021

While regional elections in France generally generate less interest than presidential ones, no election campaign has been received with such indifference as the 2021 campaign. Less than a quarter of French people showed interest, compared to 41 percent for the 2015 regional campaign. Moreover, the abstention rate in the first round of the regional elections of 2021 is the highest ever recorded: only one third of registered voters went to the polling station.
