According to a survey conducted among managers of listed companies in Japan in December 2020, more than 48 percent of the respondents thought that the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) would further advance the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) at their place of employment. Close to 40 percent stated that it would have no effect.
