According to a survey conducted among managers of listed companies in Japan in December 2020, a majority of 68 percent thought that Japan had fallen behind other countries, such as the US and China, when it came to the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI). Only less than five percent thought that Japan was more advanced in this regard.
