In the first quarter of 2021, outgoing voice calls through cellular telephones in Morocco amounted to approximately 13.7 billion minutes, decreasing from roughly 14.2 billion minutes in the fourth quarter of 2020. Within the period under study, the outgoing mobile telephone voice traffic reached its highest in the third quarter of 2020, with around 14.7 billion minutes. Overall, the penetration rate of mobile telephone subscriptions in the country rose to around 137.6 percent in March 2021.
