As of June 2021, around 16.6 percent of Chinese aged 32 to 41 years old never dated anyone before. In comparison, about 19 percent of those aged between 27 to 31 years never had a boyfriend or girlfriend before.

63.2 percent male respondents and 36.8 percent of female respondents.
12.8 percent aged 18 to 20 years, 42.6 percent aged 21 to 30 years, 23.8 percent aged 31 to 40 years, 20.8 percent aged 41 years and above.
