In the first quarter of 2021, the net flow of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Morocco amounted to slightly over 2.8 billion Moroccan dirhams (MAD), roughly 311.7 million U.S. dollars. In the preceding year, the value reached around 16.7 billion MAD (approximately 1.9 billion U.S. dollars), decreasing from the peak of slightly over 33.4 billion MAD (around 3.7 billion U.S. dollars) achieved in 2018. On the other hand, the net flow of Moroccan direct investment abroad accumulated a value of 4.7 billion MAD (522.2 million U.S. dollars) in 2020.
