In 2020, the net flow of Moroccan direct investments abroad was highest in the United Arab Emirates, and Cote d'Ivoire. The countries received investment values reaching 1.3 billion Moroccan dirhams (MAD) and 863 million MAD, respectively, equivalent to 144.7 million U.S. dollars and 96.1 million U.S. dollars. Overall, as of the first quarter of 2021, Moroccan direct investments accumulated an income of around 3.8 billion MAD, roughly 423 million U.S. dollars.
