In 2020, employment in travel and tourism in Seychelles represented a share of nearly 29 percent of the total employment in the country. This decreased from approximately 42 percent in the previous year, which means that 6.7 thousand jobs were lost, mainly due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
