In 2022, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes was the leading domestic tourism market in Paris and the Île-de-France region based on tourist arrivals. That year, travelers from that area in southeast-central France represented 14 percent of all domestic tourist arrivals in Paris and Île-de-France. The region of Hauts-de-France followed in the ranking, accounting for 12 percent of domestic tourist arrivals.
