As of the first quarter of 2021, the return on Moroccan direct investments abroad reached nearly 3.8 billion Moroccan dirhams (MAD), roughly 423 million U.S. dollars. Compared to the preceding years under study, this was the highest value. On the other hand, the outward direct investments carried out by Morocco achieved the lowest value in 2012, at 27 million MAD (around 300.2 thousand U.S. dollars), after which they increased generally.
