In 2019, the export of apparel from Madagascar amounted to an approximate value of 493 million U.S. dollars. This was a decrease in value in comparison to the preceding year, when roughly 498 million U.S. dollars of the products were exported. Furthermore, the United States was one of the main trade partners of Madagascar in terms of non-knitted or crocheted exports, with a share of around 42 percent.
