Most common marketing services employed by online cosmetic stores in Russia in 2021 were statistics and analytics. Ad networks were the second most employed strategy, while feedback services were used by roughly four out of ten retailers.

The study included 48 online stores of beauty category (specializing in retail of decorative and self-care cosmetics, perfumes, products for manicure and pedicure masters, and make-up artists) listed in the 1,000 largest Russian online stores by orders volume, four online stores of network marketing companies, and two largest universal marketplaces - Wildberries and Ozon.
Only online sales of cosmetics in the Russian territory were taken into consideration (excluding export sales).
