In a survey conducted in Morocco in February 2021, 27 percent of respondents indicated that they had paid a bribe, offered a gift, or done favors in order to receive a needed service from the public sector in the course of the year. This was a slight decrease from 2018, when 25 percent of the surveyed Moroccan population reported the payment of similar bribes.
