The majority of Ukrainians reported using Viber most frequently for communication in messengers in each age group, in January and February 2021. Furthermore, seven out of ten respondents over 60 years old did not use any messengers at all. Facebook Messenger reached the maximum of 53 percent of users share among 18-to-39-year-old participants. Discord and WeChat were the least popular among the listed apps.

The source specified that the survey was conducted in 24 regions of Ukraine and in Kyiv, with the exception of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Sevastopol, and uncontrolled territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
