Religious affiliation by region in Nicaragua 2020

In the department of Managua, where the national capital city is located, the religion with the highest share of believers (42.4 percent) was the Evangelic one. Evangelic was also the strongest denomination in the Caribbean region, with 57 percent of respondents. Catholics were more predominant in the Central region, with 73.6 percent. In Nicaragua, the share of Catholics have been continuously decreasing while Evangelicals are increasing.
