Over seven percent of the Russian population followed a healthy lifestyle in 2022, constituting a slight decrease from the previous year. Across Russian regions, the highest share of healthy lifestyle followers was recorded in the city of Sevastopol. The indicator was based on several factors, including not smoking, moderate alcohol consumption, physical activity, and healthy nutrition.

The source used the following definition of a healthy lifestyle: not smoking, consuming at least 400g of vegetables and fruit daily, being physically active (at least 150 minutes of moderate of 75 minutes of intensive physical training per week), consuming up to 5g of salt daily, consuming no more than 168g of pure alcohol for men and no more than 84g for women per week.
